Explaining the components of the manufactured stone cladding

This stone does not come in a panel system as all stones are individual in TextureWise Stone product ranges.
This stone cladding product looks and feels like natural stone except that the individual stones are adhered to the substrate in question and not built structurally.
The key benefits of the stone veneer cladding are:

  • Lightweight
  • Eco friendly
  • Easy to install
  • No wastage
  • Affordable

Thickness

The stone cladding varies in thickness between 30mm and 45mm.
The brick cladding varies in thickness between 15mm and 25mm.

Flat stone or brick

All stones are individual like natural stone except not load-bearing.
Flat stones are used on all surfaces of the build except at gables or into windows or door openings.

Corner stones or bricks

Corner stones produce the appearance of a full-sized natural stone installation.

These are simply 90 degree "L" shaped version of the flat stones above.

Each stone type has their respective corner stones with varying heights and leg lengths to marry in the flat stones (i.e. not like quoins).

What is the difference between manufactured stone cladding and natural structural stone?

Manufactured stone cladding is cast from moulds of real stone which makes it lighter than natural stone.
Natural stone may require wall ties and footings, an overhang of a roof which, in turn, can increase installation cost and difficulty.
No footings or toes in foundations are needed. The product is an adhered stone veneer and is supported on the wall by the bond of the adhesive to the stone and surface of the substrate in question.
This stone facade is low in weight (45 Kg per m²), designed to adhere easily to a variety of structurally sound surfaces, and is capable of installations that would normally be very difficult and costly to achieve with natural stone.
The base colour is blended throughout and permanent mineral oxide pigments are applied and absorbed when the veneer is cast. Colour becomes an integral part of the veneer and, similar to natural stone, there are minimal noticeable colour changes after years of weathering.
